We have a Tooth!

Hello All, sorry no posts again for a few days, things just been really busy.

As the title says Holly finally has a tooth!! We are sure she started teething at about 3 and a half months old but over the past few days she has been a little unsettled and had us up through the night, which never happens. So last night I was sure I could feel something sharp under her gum (Ian didn't believe me though!) and today it is has come right through and she definitely has a tooth. She hasn't been too upset today considering, infact she was really chuffed tonight dancing about in her DJ box!
So we have been busy as usual this week with Baby Group and catching up with Angela & Matthew and Julie & Kory. We also met our new Health Visitor today who was very nice and was very happy with Holly and her progress.

I have another night out tomorrow night with the girls from Baby Group so I am looking forward to that and am working on Saturday, so Ian is left in charge again.

So that's it for now, will update you on the teeth count as they come in!
Bye for now,

Down By the River!

Hello All. So a quick update on the past couple of days. We have not been very busy this week because of my stomach bug, but thankfully it has now gone and I am almost 100%.

Yesterday we just went a short walk to get us out and about again and went in to see Kory and Julie. Kory let Holly borrow his sunglasses and here is a photo of her wearing them, cool dude or what?!

Today we have been a bit more busy. This morning we went in to town to get various bits and pieces. Holly got something, of course! She got a drum which she is playing with below and a new paddling pool which you can see here. All we need now is the weather for her to go in it!

After town we went down to the Riverside to watch the Inter-company boat race, which is where companies from all over Aberdeen take part in a rowing gala type thing! As some of you will know Auntie Saz is a big rowing person so she had 3 crews competing from her work. Here she is with Holly Baby....

My old work were also taking part, so we were cheering them on too and Holly managed to get a nice long cuddle with Laura, who dressed her up in her pirates hat....

So we've had a good day and are all tired now, especially Miss Holly, who is zonked!

Bye for now,

6 Months on.....

Well Holly is 6 months old today, which is unbelievable, time has just flown past. Above is Holly's first photo all wrapped up in the blankets not long after being born and below is her today, quite a difference!

Happy Half Birthday Holly!

Just a quick post tonight, I have been really unwell the past couple of days, I think I had food poisoning from some chicken, yuck. Mum had to come through yesterday to help with Holly because I couldn't move from my bed all day, so a BIG thank you to her. I am getting better now, but off to bed shortly coz I'm still pretty weak :-(

More updates soon,

Poor Holly Baby

Hi All, sorry for the lack of posts again. As some of you know Holly Baby has been ill over the past few days, she has had a proper cold and been very miserable. Her wee nose and eyes were running all day yesterday and she had a cough. We gave her some medicine last night and she had quite a good night and slept until 7.15am which is unheard of in this house! She is much better today and her normal happy(ish) self!

We were going to be going up to Lossie this weekend, but with one thing and another we decided to postpone and go another time when things are a little quieter. So today I went to work in the morning and Ian and Granny Forbes were on Holly Duty! They got on fine and went a walk round Duthie Park with Holly and Rosie Dog. At lunchtime we all met up and went for an early Father's Day lunch at the Ferryhill Hotel which was lovely. Here is Holly sitting with her Auntie Saz....

After our lunch Mum and Dad headed off and we went to Mothercare to get Holly some new shoes and socks, and a mobile phone! Not a real one of course, a toy one, she is always fascinated by mine! We then went to Next and then Sainsbury's.

Here are another couple of photos of Holly tonight, looking all happy and smiley and obviously not too put out by her cold!

So that's it for now, I'm sure there will be a post tomorrow to report on Ian's first Father's Day.

Bye, Hannah X

Sunday Update

Hello All, a few photos and quick update for you tonight. Firstly as Ian reported yesterday I started my new job, it went really well and I enjoyed being back at work. My night out last night was really good too, we went to Pavarotti's (an Italian restaurant) for a lovely meal then to a couple of bars afterwards. We all had a good time and it was nice to meet some new people and get a wee bit of a break. I did miss Holly though and couldn't wait to get home and see her, how sad!! I felt fine today, just really tired, I'm use to going to bed at 10pm at the latest, not 2am!

So Ian has well and truly been on Daddy duty this weekend, and has done a really good job, I don't think Holly has even noticed I wasn't about. Here is a photo of her this morning playing, I think she looks a real Stewart in this one...

We had a very lazy morning then this afternoon we went to buy a new car seat for Holly to go in our second car. I had already got one for the big car. Holly was so cute in Halfords, she was so tired she just fell asleep on me and every time I tried to wake her up she went back to sleep. When we got home Ian fitted both seats in the cars, here is Holly test driving one of them....

Finally here is a photo of Holly sleeping on me after her bedtime bottle, she was so tired she was rubbing her eyes. She hardly woke when I took her to bed and was zonked by the time her Grobag was zipped!

Well that's all we have to report. We have a busy few days coming up, Baby Safety, Baby Group and I'm working again.

Bye for now,

Saturday with Daddy!

Hello everyone Daddy here for a change!

Well, it's been a busy day for Daddy and Holly today! Mummy had her first day at her new job so it was just me and Holly for a while this morning & afternoon. We went a long walk round Cove, had lunch then went to B&Q! Holly was an angel the whole time, but I'm sure she was chuffed to get her Mummy back at 2pm!!!

After that we went to see Auntie Sarah and Uncle Mike which was good. Still nae finished that kitchen yet though!(sorry guys:) - looking fab though!)

Then Mummy was off out tonight for a well earned girls night out! So anyway enough of the small talk here's some piccies of Holly Baby!

Here's quite a good one of me and her!

Tonight we re-discovered the 'kick and whirl carnival' which was a bit lost on her in the first few months! Now that she can sit up though I've a feeling it'll become a big favourite!

Look at that concentration!!

Anyway it's nearly 11pm!!! Better go and get some shut eye as I'm on the early shift tomorrow morning!:(

Couple of Pictures

Hi Again, just another couple of pictures for you tonight. Here is Holly Baby sleeping in her pram after we went a walk this afternoon.

Holly has just started using a cup and she was doing really well with it today, holding it herself and taking some water from it (oh yeah and smiling at the same time!)....

So that's Rosie Dog away :-( Mum and Dad came to get her last night and they left this morning. Holly was very pleased to see her Granny and Grandpa, although was sick all over Grandpa which he wasn't too pleased about!

After going a walk this afternoon we had our friend's Catriona and Keira up for a coffee then later on I heard I got the new job I went for. It is working 8 hours per week for a small company doing Accounts & Admin, it is perfect because it will all be around looking after Holly. They have even said I can take her in to the office. So I am REALLY chuffed to have got it!

Well that's it, I'm away to put my feet up, I have just cut our very long grass and am absolutely shattered!

Bye for now,

Cute!

Hi All, Just a quick entry tonight, here is a cute photo of Holly sleeping today on our bed. She wasn't meant to have fallen asleep there, but she seems to have a habit of falling asleep at the wrong time in the wrong place! Doesn't she look angelic?!

We had another good day, we went for a wander round the shops with Julie and Kory (yes MORE shopping!).

Bye,

Holly and her friends

Hello All, hope everyone is fine. So some more Holly photos for you all, above is one of her yesterday when she had just woken up after her nap, she gives me the BIGGEST smiles when she wakes up, so tried I to capture one.

Well as usual we have been keeping ourselves busy, yesterday we had Julie and Kory down for lunch then we went to a 'Baby Safety' course to teach me all about keeping Holly safe! It was really interesting but a bit frightening hearing about all the things that can happen to kids, I would love to just wrap her up in cotton wool but know I can't, so will have to get used to accidents!

Today was Baby Group or 'Ladies with Babies' as one of the Mums calls it! Here is a couple of photos of Holly with Matthew and Keira (Niamh wasn't there and Liam missed the photocall!)

Well that's it for now, Mum and Dad are back tomorrow so our last day with Rosie Dog :-(

Bye for now,

Hannah X

Rosie and Holly

Hi Again! Well due to popular demand (well my Dad anyway!) here is a photo of Rosie Dog and Holly. Rosie is being a good dog, although a little fed up today because she didn't get a walk yesterday as the weather so was so rotten. Hopefully she will get out tonight but it depends what time Ian gets home from Grangemouth.

Well had better go, Holly is screaming!

More shopping!

Hello Everyone, just a quick update which I am doing as I know Granny Forbes should be looking at the site later (she has found internet access!) so want to have an up-to-date photo to help ease her Holly withdrawl symptoms!

We have been busy as usual, on Monday we went to see Julie and Kory for lunch and yesterday we went to Baby Group where we had lunch again! So lots of lunches this week!

Today Holly and I went in to town shopping (again!), Holly got a new toy which she is playing with below. She also got some new clothes in the sale, lovely Osh Kosh stuff. I got a Mother & Baby magazine, so basically our shopping was all Holly related! It has been such a miserable day today, I got soaked walking round town, of course Holly was nice and dry!

So that's it for now, I'm sure Ian will be along later to enlighten all you confused readers as to who Holly looks like in yesterday's photo!
