Visitors, Golf and Pebbles!

Hi Everyone, this is the first of 2 updates, we have had such a busy week it deserves 2 updates!

So back to last Saturday and we were invited to Baby James's 1st Birthday BBQ. Above is me and the girls before we went. We had a great time, it's a shame as it was CHUCKING it down all day, but hey, that's Scottish weather!!

Sunday was quiet and on Monday our Canadian relatives, Auntie Karen, Emma and Lucy came through to Aberdeen from Lossie with Sarah. After playing with Holly and Natalie for a while we went in to town for lunch and shopping, which was fun, I also got a rare break from the kids!!

On Tuesday I took Holly down to Sarah's and they all babysat her whilst I went to the hospital to have my teeth checked. As expected I have to get 2 wisdon teeth extracted, YUCK. I always swore I would never have another wisdom tooth out but I have no choice. Oh well I have 8 months to prepare for it (good old NHS waiting lists!!)

Anyway Holly had a great time with her cousins (she calls them the Coushins!) doing lots of jigsaws and they also went for a wee walk.

On Wednesday the O'Briens came up here for the day, it was a gorgeous day so we got to sit outside for a change. Here we are sitting on our new patio......

After we had tea we went down to the Pirate Crazy Golf at the Beach, it was such a good laugh and Holly enjoyed it, although she was scared of the pirate ship and PETRIFIED when she saw one of the staff dressed as a pirate, the poor thing was shaking!! Here is Holly stepping up to take her shot....

Natalie went a walk with Auntie Karen whilst we played but came back for the last few holes. Here she is looking like a right wee golf dude!!!

And hanging on to me like a limpet as ever!!!

After the golf we went inside to the amusements and Holly had a shot on one of the wee rides....

On Thursday morning Holly started her new playschool, Pebbles, up at the Community Centre. It is a bit more varied and advanced than Rising 2's and runs for 2 and a half hours each day. She will be going 3 days a week, Monday, Thursday and Friday. She was so excited about starting, she knew about it as Matthew and Liam already go. Here she is looking really excited before we left.

Natalie and I stayed with her for the first half hour then went out for a cuppa for another half hour and that was her first session over. Needless to say she LOVED it and I had real problems getting her to leave!! It was just aswell she was going back the next day so i could bribe her!! The rest of the day we spent with Angela and Matthew, poor Angela is still disabled by her broken shoulder :-(

Holly went to Pebbles for the full session on Friday and again had a great time, she played instruments, played with playdough, had snack then they took them ALL (20 of them!) to the park. She can't wait to go again tomorrow and even asked Ian for a drink so she could pack it in her bag for 'Peddles' in the morning! Nat and I missed her, it was really quiet without her. We spent the rest of Friday over at Angela's, it was another beautiful day, just too hot though!!

Well that's it for now, I have another update to do for Mike's birthday BBQ but I will do that another time, I am shattered after such a busy week so off to my bed! (I turn in to a pumpkin after 10 o'clock hee hee!)

Busy week!

Hi Everyone! Thought I would do a blog as we have had a busy week so have quite a few photos. On Sunday we took the kids down to Laurencekirk to a soft play centre, called Dizzy Rascals. It was really good and the girls had a great time. There were seperate soft play areas for different ages and a big indoor football pitch, which is where Holly spent most of the time with her Daddy.

Ian and Holly being goalies!

On Monday we just had a quiet day in the house, then on Tuesday we headed over to the airport to meet Auntie Karen, Emma and Lucy who are visiting from Canada. I had dressed the girls all nice and wanted to get a photo of them looking so pretty which wasn't very successful, but here is a funny one of Holly trying to kiss Natalie, but Nat didn't want a kiss so was hitting her in the face.

I did manage to get a nice one of Nat in her cool outfit!

It was lovely to see Auntie Karen and the girls and Holly and Natalie enjoyed meeting them. We will get a chance to spend more time with them this week.

On Wednesday Ian and I took Holly, Matthew and Natalie to see the Tweenies. If you don't know who they are, they have a kiddies singing/dancing type programme on C-beebies. The show was good, and the kids all enjoyed it. Natalie was a bit restless but she was really good considering she is so young. We had really good seats, we weren't meant to take photos but I did manage to sneak one or two.....

On Thursday Grannie and Granda were through as Wallace and Ian were laying our patio and path out the back. Holly and Natalie loved having them here, Holly was Granda's wee helper and spent ages out there copying everything he was doing...

They got lots of the job done and there are only a few bits and pieces left to do when they come back in a couple of weeks. They worked really hard and did a fantastic job.

Well that's it for now, we have another busy week coming up so will be back soon to report on it.

Yay some sun!!

Hi, as the title says, we have finally had some sunshine over the past couple of weeks!! Not every day but at least a few days!! We have been busy as ever, although Nat was really unwell last week so that meant we couldn't get out and about as much. She is doing much better now thank goodness. So I will report on the things of interest we have been up to!

Ian had a day off 2 friday's ago, so we went down to Brechin Castle Centre again with Angela and Matthew. The kids had a great time running about and looking at all the animals (most of which Natalie called 'Duck'!)

As I said Nat wasn't well last week so we were in the house a lot. Holly was pretty fed up so I was trying to find as many things as possible to keep her amused, so here she is painting a picture of the Teletubbies for Natalie!

This week we have been looking after Matthew for some of the time, as poor Angela has broken her shoulder after falling at the weekend. On Wednesday we went over to their house and the kids all played in the garden, we even managed to get the paddling pool out.....

We don't really have a lot else to report, we have had Mum through which was good and today the girls went to creche so I had a wander round town on my own which was great!

Nat still isn't walking much, she can walk, but just finds her one legged crawling easier!! She is picking up lots of new words and beginning to communicate pretty well with us!! Holly is so fed up, she hasn't had her 2's group for a few weeks now and is bored of just me and Natalie. She is going to a new group in 2 weeks time which she is looking forward to (and so am I!). She is continuing to be a little Miss Independant, she now insists on chosing her own clothes and getting dressed herself which can be a VERY long drawn out affair!! She is doing great with the potty training too.

Well here are another couple of photos of the girls before I sign off....

Another Happy Nat photo (trust me she isn't happy all the time!)

Well that's it for now, we have a busy couple of weeks coming up, my Auntie and cousins are coming over from Canada so we can't wait to see them. Also Ian has some time off, we are going to see the Tweenies and we have a couple of bbq's to go to, lets hope the sun continues to shine for those!

Bye for now,

Hannah
