13 Months Old!!!!

Hello everyone, a rare post from me today!

Well, it was Holly's 13 month 'birthday' today. Just thinking do we stop celebrating these now she has passed 1 year?! Votes please!

Anyhow Holly decided to have a lie in on her 13 month birthday and didn't get up till 8:45am - Hannah and I got quite a shock when we woke up so late! We think this is the most sleep we've had in, oh 13 months ;). To be fair she was up at 5am for half an hour so it wasn't all uniterrupted!

As for the rest of the day well we just went into town and did some shopping then went to vist Auntie Sarah and Uncle Mike.

Unfortunately Holly hasn't been walking too much again, though she did manage to do 4 steps in the bath of all places tonight?!? Oh well in her own time!

Anyway I'll sign off now. The photo above is espcially for Granny Forbes just to show the curls are still there!

Bye for now

Ian

Birthday and Walking (almost!)

Hi All, hope everyone is fine. Can you believe I have only taken about 15 photos of Holly in the last 3 weeks, so not many to share with you tonight!! Here she is playing in the bath the other night....

So what have we been up to?! Well I won't go in to everything we have done in 3 weeks. Holly and I have just been up to our usual stuff through the week, baby group, shopping and seeing our friends!! Last weekend we had Granny Forbes through to stay which was great, of course Rosie came too. Mum and I went shopping on the Saturday and at night Ian and I went out for a meal for his birthday. On Sunday we had Sarah and Mike up for a roast dinner, which was yummy even if I say so myself!! Unfortuanately I came down with a pretty bad cold on Sunday so have been pretty much out of action ever since (and feeling really sorry for myself!), but feel quite a lot better today. Holly still has the cold too (4 weeks now), the Dr said to let it run it's course, I do hope it doesn't go on much longer for her.

Thursday was Ian's 27th Birthday. He was working through the day, so we just had a nice tea in the evening and Holly and I gave him a birthday cake, here they are together....

Today we had Grannie Stewart and Uncle Steve through which was lovely. We hung around the house for a while then went out for a late lunch, here is everyone (minus me and the bump!)...

As we may have reported before, Holly has been taking steps on her own for a month now, but tonight she managed to walk half way across our living room on her own, it was quite amazing to see our wee baby walk. So we think that will be her just about off.

The bump is doing fine, amazingly I am 27 weeks now. I am really beginning to notice how much I am slowing down, we went a walk to the library yesterday which usually takes 10 minutes to get there and it took us over 20!

Well that's about it, sorry there isn't much to say, but I hope you like the photos.

Will be back soon,

Christmas 2005

Hello Everyone, Happy New Year!! We hope you all had a lovely Christmas and Santa was good to you, he was to us, especially Miss Holly !! Sorry for the long delay in updating you all, we have been getting complaints!! So I will try and fill you in on the past couple of weeks.

So back to the 23rd December, we headed off up to Lossiemouth for Christmas. On the way we stopped off in Westhill to see Rosemary, a family friend, who was up for Christmas and had never met Holly. We spent a lovely hour or so with her, here she is with Holly.....

We spent the 23rd and Christmas Eve getting ready for Christmas at Mum and Dad's house, we went to the local Carol singing concert in the Square on Christmas Eve, which was lovely, if not a bit cold!!

We were up about 7am on Christmas Day (I am sure that will be the latest we are up on Christmas Day for many years to come once Holly knows what it is all about!). We opened presents in the morning and had a nice breakfast etc. Here are some photos taken on Christmas morning....

This photo is of a very momentous occasion in Holly's life, her very first ever CHOCOLATE!!! Her Grandpa was very proud to be the first person to give it to her (he has pestered me for months to let her have some!). She absolutely LOVED it, shock horror and had another bit later in the day and a few bits since....

And here is the debut on the blog of the bump, I decided seen as it was Christmas I would let a photo be taken of it!! I am not keen on pregnant photos of me, so don't expect many more!!

On Christmas Day Afternoon we went down to Grannie and Granda Stewart's for Christmas Dinner. We had a lovely meal, although Holly was a little monkey during it and didn't like being in her chair, this photo sums up her mood....

Here she is a bit happier playing with her Grannie and Daddy.....

After lunch Holly's Great Grannie and Granda came to see her with Auntie Mandy and George and then Uncle Bill, Eryn and Lee so she was kept amused. We had a quiet Christmas Night back with my Mum and Dad.

On Boxing Day Auntie Sarah and Uncle Mike came through to Lossiemouth and Auntie Helen came down to the house and we had a BBQ, yes that's right a BBQ on the 26th December!! Yes my family are mad!! It was nice though, and we played a cool music game at night, which the girls won!! The boys were rubbish!!

On the 27th my good friend, Leona, came down to see us which was lovely. After that we headed back to Aberdeen, we had all been a bit poorly over Christmas with this never-ending cold, Holly especially, so decided it was best to head home. Ian was working from home for the rest of the week, so Holly and I hit the sales one day, and just hung about the house the rest of the time. Here she is playing, looking gorgeous!!

And playing with her Daddy again....

On Hogmanay we went to a few shops then I made us a yummy roast dinner at tea time. We then all went to bed at our usual time and didn't stay up, very boring I know, but we have been so tired with lots of early starts (Holly seems to be back to getting up aroung 5am since she has been ill).

On New Year's Day we went down to Sarah and Mike's for a lovely lunch and on the 2nd we went to a party at Angela and Martin's. Holly was really pleased to see Matthew, I think she has missed all her friends!! Yesterday I was back to work so Ian and Holly went and bought a freezer and to Asda, fun!!

So that was our Christmas and New Year, we had a nice time although a bit of a dampner was put on it by us being ill, but these things can't be helped. Holly has also got 2 more teeth in the past fortnight (she has 8 now!) and I can feel her molar's coming in, so has had a time of it the poor thing. She is beginning to take steps on her own now, she can manage about 2 then gives up, but I am sure she will get there in her own time. Her talking is going well too.

The bump is fine, wriggling away and it has started kicking Ian if he puts his arm over my tummy, which is very funny.

So that's the update, sorry if I have missed anything or anyone out....

Will be back soon (ish!)
