Wedding in Dunblane

Hello Everyone! This weekend has been very exciting, we have been at our friend's Kathryn and Steven's wedding down in Dunblane / Bridge of Allan. We set off yesterday morning first thing and got there about 11.30, hoping to get in to our room, but there was a bit of a delay. Once we got in, we got ready in record speed as we had to get to the church for 1pm!! Anyway we made it there just before the bride! Here are the girls before we left.....

The girls weren't too keen on being in the church, so we spent most of the time outside with them. Here is the new Mr and Mrs Johnstone leaving the church.....

After the service we went back to the hotel, here are the girls looking pretty in their gorgeous dresses....

We had a lovely meal and the girls had fun playing with the other boys and girls. Here is Holly with Kathryn...

And with Daddy....

And with her new found friend, Andrew, who she had great fun with (ssshhh don't tell Matthew she was with another man!!!)

The girls were shattered by 9 (and so were we after spending the day chasing after them) so we all crashed out. This morning we went for breakfast which the girls thought was great fun, then headed off home via a play centre in Perth to let the kids run off some steam, but they were both pretty tired after their busy day.
Well that's it for now

Lots of Piccies!

Hi Everyone!! Wow it's been ages since I've done a blog, so got lots of photos to share! So here we go...

We went a drive out to Alford Country Park one Sunday, it was lovely there with lots of equipment for the girls to play on. We took a picnic which we ate rather quickly as it was quite cold and it felt like it was going to chuck it down rain!!

Holly and Daddy on the bouncy thingies!

Yummy Sandwich!

Tucking in to our lunch

Girls on the swings, amazingly they both like swings now, they used to hate them!

So we have just been up to our usual goings ons, Holly has been going to Pebbles which she still loves and is having a ball. Nat is coming on heaps, her talking is amazing (she said to Holly today 'That's My Mummy' when Holly was trying to have a hug with me, oh oh!!)

Here is a cute photo of Nat helping me with the washing, or just sitting in the washing basket really!

We went up to Lossie at the end of September and had a lovely time catching up with folk, although it was a bit sad too as we had George's funeral after he died suddenly.

Sarah and Mike were up the road too, Sarah and I went in to Elgin shopping and she bought the girls these ACE Peppa Pig outfits which has definitely made her the favourite Auntie!! Here they are in them, Holly is wearing Granny's Jewels!

I had a well needed weekend away with Angela, we went down to Glasgow to do some shopping and had a lovely italian meal. We stayed in the Thistle Hotel (free with my Tesco Clubcard Vouchers!) and I had the best nights sleep in years!! I did miss the girls heaps and heaps but they were fine as Grannie and Granda were through helping Ian out.

It was my 29th Birthday last Monday, yikes, the last year of my twenties!! We had a quiet day, just went down to Dizzee Rascals with the girls, Angela (who is VERY pregnant now) and Matthew. Here is me and the girls before we went...

Holly, Matthew, Ian and Nat in the background

Bouncing Nat!
Both of the girls (and Ian) have been poorly over the last week with this horrible cold bug that is going about. The girls took it really badly and were so fed up. Thank Goodness they are both doing a lot better now.
Yesterday it was a gorgeous Autumn Day so we went to Hazelhead Park, the girls had a great time....

Well that's it for now, we have such a busy time coming up now but will try and be back soon!

Down by the Farm!

Well it's taken me a good few days to do this again, but another busy week in the Stewart house!
So back to last week we were up to our usual things, then on Thursday Auntie Karen, Emma and Lucy came to visit us for the last time of this visit as they were heading home the next day. We went over to the airport to get them then they came here for tea. Whilst I was sorting tea, the girls all played with the Playdough, which Holly and Natalie were just delighted about.

Natalie with playdough Barney!!
We were really sad to see them go, especially Holly as she loves her cousins. She has been telling me she is going to Canada to play in Auntie Karen's garden on the swing ever since they left!

On Friday Ian was off for the day as I had to go and get a tooth out (one of my 4 baby teeth!) It wasn't a pleasant experience, but has healed up really quickly. On Saturday Grannie and Granda Toys were here, Granda and Ian had the patio and path to finish, which they did and it all looks great. The girls had lots of fun with Grannie as always.

On Sunday we went over to Doonies Miniture Farm which we have never been to before, even though it's only 5 minutes away. It was really nice, lots of animals to look at, this was my favourite, the fluffy sheep...

The girls weren't too taken with the animals though, they were both a bit scared. Natalie kept saying 'Not Nice' and Holly was saying 'I'm too scared' and we had to carry her round the place. They are both wee sensitive souls! There was a playpark there too, here is Holly doing some of her daredevil climbing........

The girls did eventually come round to the idea of the animals and here is Natalie delighted with the 'Baa-Baa' (please note most animals are baa-baas!!)

And Holly eventually touching one of the sheep....

This week has been back to normal really after the summer holidays, visitors etc. Holly is just loving Pebbles, it was 'Red Week' this week so she has been taking in red toys and wearing red ribbons in her hair. I am on duty on Monday so I will get to see exactly what they get up to. I was at the Pebbles AGM on Wednesday night and am now the Treasurer, oh oh what have I let myself in for!
Well that's it for now,

Mike's Birthday BBQ

Hi Everyone, OK so it has taken me a week to do this blog that I promised, we have just had such a busy week I haven't had a chance. So here it is a week late!

Last Saturday Sarah arranged a 30th Birthday BBQ for Mike at their flat. All of the family were there as well as their friends and Angela, Martin and Matthew. Sarah had done a great job and the flat looked ace, everything was in a golf theme.

So here are some photos....

Mike receiving his new golf club from 'Tiger Woods' (AKA My Dad! Oh the shame!!)

Lucy and Uncle Zib!

It was a really great day, the food was fab and the kids loved running about and spending time with the family and Matthew. We all had a great day, as did the Birthday Boy!

Well that's it for now, I do have more photos of this week, but will do them another night.

Bye for now!

Visitors, Golf and Pebbles!

Hi Everyone, this is the first of 2 updates, we have had such a busy week it deserves 2 updates!

So back to last Saturday and we were invited to Baby James's 1st Birthday BBQ. Above is me and the girls before we went. We had a great time, it's a shame as it was CHUCKING it down all day, but hey, that's Scottish weather!!

Sunday was quiet and on Monday our Canadian relatives, Auntie Karen, Emma and Lucy came through to Aberdeen from Lossie with Sarah. After playing with Holly and Natalie for a while we went in to town for lunch and shopping, which was fun, I also got a rare break from the kids!!

On Tuesday I took Holly down to Sarah's and they all babysat her whilst I went to the hospital to have my teeth checked. As expected I have to get 2 wisdon teeth extracted, YUCK. I always swore I would never have another wisdom tooth out but I have no choice. Oh well I have 8 months to prepare for it (good old NHS waiting lists!!)

Anyway Holly had a great time with her cousins (she calls them the Coushins!) doing lots of jigsaws and they also went for a wee walk.

On Wednesday the O'Briens came up here for the day, it was a gorgeous day so we got to sit outside for a change. Here we are sitting on our new patio......

After we had tea we went down to the Pirate Crazy Golf at the Beach, it was such a good laugh and Holly enjoyed it, although she was scared of the pirate ship and PETRIFIED when she saw one of the staff dressed as a pirate, the poor thing was shaking!! Here is Holly stepping up to take her shot....

Natalie went a walk with Auntie Karen whilst we played but came back for the last few holes. Here she is looking like a right wee golf dude!!!

And hanging on to me like a limpet as ever!!!

After the golf we went inside to the amusements and Holly had a shot on one of the wee rides....

On Thursday morning Holly started her new playschool, Pebbles, up at the Community Centre. It is a bit more varied and advanced than Rising 2's and runs for 2 and a half hours each day. She will be going 3 days a week, Monday, Thursday and Friday. She was so excited about starting, she knew about it as Matthew and Liam already go. Here she is looking really excited before we left.

Natalie and I stayed with her for the first half hour then went out for a cuppa for another half hour and that was her first session over. Needless to say she LOVED it and I had real problems getting her to leave!! It was just aswell she was going back the next day so i could bribe her!! The rest of the day we spent with Angela and Matthew, poor Angela is still disabled by her broken shoulder :-(

Holly went to Pebbles for the full session on Friday and again had a great time, she played instruments, played with playdough, had snack then they took them ALL (20 of them!) to the park. She can't wait to go again tomorrow and even asked Ian for a drink so she could pack it in her bag for 'Peddles' in the morning! Nat and I missed her, it was really quiet without her. We spent the rest of Friday over at Angela's, it was another beautiful day, just too hot though!!

Well that's it for now, I have another update to do for Mike's birthday BBQ but I will do that another time, I am shattered after such a busy week so off to my bed! (I turn in to a pumpkin after 10 o'clock hee hee!)

Busy week!

Hi Everyone! Thought I would do a blog as we have had a busy week so have quite a few photos. On Sunday we took the kids down to Laurencekirk to a soft play centre, called Dizzy Rascals. It was really good and the girls had a great time. There were seperate soft play areas for different ages and a big indoor football pitch, which is where Holly spent most of the time with her Daddy.

Ian and Holly being goalies!

On Monday we just had a quiet day in the house, then on Tuesday we headed over to the airport to meet Auntie Karen, Emma and Lucy who are visiting from Canada. I had dressed the girls all nice and wanted to get a photo of them looking so pretty which wasn't very successful, but here is a funny one of Holly trying to kiss Natalie, but Nat didn't want a kiss so was hitting her in the face.

I did manage to get a nice one of Nat in her cool outfit!

It was lovely to see Auntie Karen and the girls and Holly and Natalie enjoyed meeting them. We will get a chance to spend more time with them this week.

On Wednesday Ian and I took Holly, Matthew and Natalie to see the Tweenies. If you don't know who they are, they have a kiddies singing/dancing type programme on C-beebies. The show was good, and the kids all enjoyed it. Natalie was a bit restless but she was really good considering she is so young. We had really good seats, we weren't meant to take photos but I did manage to sneak one or two.....

On Thursday Grannie and Granda were through as Wallace and Ian were laying our patio and path out the back. Holly and Natalie loved having them here, Holly was Granda's wee helper and spent ages out there copying everything he was doing...

They got lots of the job done and there are only a few bits and pieces left to do when they come back in a couple of weeks. They worked really hard and did a fantastic job.

Well that's it for now, we have another busy week coming up so will be back soon to report on it.
